Are my PDFs uploaded?
No. Reading, merging, cleaning, and verification happen in your browser. The files are not sent to RemoveMyEXIF.
Does merging remove PDF metadata?
Yes. The output is cleaned of supported document properties, XMP metadata, file identifiers, and application metadata, then checked again.
What happens to PDF forms and bookmarks?
Interactive form fields are flattened into page content before copying so visible values remain and duplicate field names cannot collide. Bookmarks and outlines are not preserved.
Can I merge password-protected or signed PDFs?
No. Encrypted and digitally signed PDFs are rejected rather than modified in a way that could break protection or invalidate a signature.
